- The Special Libraries Association annual conference will be in Washington D.C. this year, and promises a good selection of programming. Librarians who are used to paying a registration fee and seeing a lot of free programming will have to hunt a bit at SLA, where many of the programs have an additional fee. Look beyond your own special library type and you'll find lots of interesting innovations under way.

The sessions are valuable for almost any library - public, academic, special - although the exhibits may be less relevant depending on your organization. Definitely worth going to if you can manage it.
